Zappa hops are grown exclusively by CLS Farms in the Yakima Valley, but it is a unique 100% neomexicanus aroma hop that was recovered wild from the Sangre de Christo mountains of New Mexico. Zappa stands out with complex and rebellious aroma of passionfruit, mint, spice, tropical fruits and fruity pebbles. Complex and much different than European hops, they have cool and different characteristics. This is not just a different variety, but a different species, Humulus lupulus var. neomexicanus.
